PhD Student
Cork Constraint Computation Centre,
Department of Computer Science ,
University College Cork,
Cork, Ireland.
Introduction
William is pursuing a PhD in systems security at UCC supervised by Dr. Simon Foley. His PhD focuses on security policy configuration using ontology engineering techniques. Currently, William is a research assistant at the 4C (Cork Constraint Computation Centre). Previously his role was as an applied research engineer (National & European projects) for the Telecommunications Software & Systems Group at Waterford Institute of Technology before moving into a full-time PhD role. William has also graduated from N.U.I. Maynooth with a BSc and MSc (Research Mode 1). He has both industrial (Ericsson) and academic (TSSG) research experience. William also has an interest in Counter Terrorism Tactics and MALWARE.
