Introduction

William Fitzgerald is a postdoctoral researcher at the Cork Constraint Computation Centre (4C) where he carries out research (directed by Dr. Simon Foley) on network security configuration modeling and threat management. Prior to his current position he held research posts at Waterford Institute of Technology's TSSG and at Ericsson Applied Research Laboratories, Ireland. William holds a PhD in Computer Science from University College Cork and has published over twenty international peer-reviewed papers. He has acted as a reviewer for a number of computer security journals and conferences and has also served as a scientific reviewer for the Dutch Technology Foundation. William also holds the following degrees M.Sc. (Research Mode 1) and B.Sc. (honours) both from N.U.I. Maynooth.
